KYENAM: 느릿느릿 흐르는 대로: Flowing Slowly as it Goes

조급하게 생각하지 말고 조금은 여유를 가져도 된다고 라마가 우리에게 따뜻하게 인사합니다.계남 작가의 기획전 '느릿느릿 흐르는 대로'는 10월 3일부터 11월 12일까지 E.N. Gallery에서 관람하실 수 있습니다.

 

 배낭을 어깨에 메고 멕시코 그리고 남미 브라질, 아르헨티나, 페루 등 다양한 나라를 여행하며 길을 걷다가 마음에 와닿는 풍경을 발견하면 그 자리에 멈춰서 스케치하는 것을 즐겼던 계남 작가. 그렇게 영감을 얻어 그리기 시작한 풍경과 라마가 본 전시의 시작이었습니다.

 

'걷거나 가만히 서서, 이 땅의 존재들을 살펴봅니다.작은 잎사귀를 하나하나 들여다보고 새소리를 들으며 바람에 나부끼는 나무들을 멀리서 또 그 아래서 바라봅니다. 무언가 해야 한다는 마음을 멈추고 아무것도 하지 않을 '자유'와 무엇을 하지 않아도 괜찮은 '쉼'을 허용해 주는 시간입니다. 초록색 눈으로 풀과 나무를 보고 파란색 눈으로 하늘을 올려다봅니다. 그리고 반짝이는 눈으로 햇빛이 비친 물결을 따라갑니다. 감각이 깨어나고 가슴이 펴지는 시간, 자연 속으로 여행 중입니다.'

바쁜 삶을 잠시 잊고 자연 속으로 여행하며 마음을 펴는 가을의 시간, E.N. Gallery에서 계남 작가의 따뜻한 작품과 함께 만끽해보시기 바랍니다.

A llama warmly greets us, telling us to take things slowly. Enjoy the exhibition 'Flowing Slowly As It Goes' by the artist Kyenam at E.N. Gallery from October 3rd to November 12th.

 

Carrying a backpack on her shoulders, Kyenam enjoyed traveling to various countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and Peru. Whenever she came across a captivating landscape during her journey, she would stop right there and delight in sketching it. The landscapes and llamas she began to draw, inspired by her travels, marked the beginning of this exhibition.

 

'Whether walking or standing still, we observe the existence of this land. We examine each small leaf and listen to the birdsong while gazing at the trees swaying in the wind from afar and from below. It's a moment to allow for the 'freedom' to stop feeling like we have to do something and the 'rest' that it's okay not to do anything. We look at the grass and trees with green eyes, raise our gaze to the sky with blue eyes, and follow the shimmering waves with glistening eyes as the sunlight reflects. It's a time when our senses awaken and our hearts expand as we journey into nature.'
