EN 갤러리는 2017년 5월, 카페와 아트갤러리로 문을 열었으며, 곧 예술 애호가와 커피 애호가들 사이에서 인기있는 장소가 되었습니다. EN 갤러리에서는 수공예 장식품의 예술과 핸드드립 커피의 고급스러움을 함께 경험하실 수 있습니다. 이곳은 예술가들의 독특한 작품을 선보일 수 있는 플랫폼이자, 방문객들이 일상에서 즐길 수 있는 예술작품을 찾을 수 있고 도심속에 평화로운 공간을 만끽할 수 있습니다. 런던 출신 예술가 요헨 홀츠(Jochen Holz)에 의해 만들어진 핸드블로우 유리제품부터 베를린 출신 예술가 야스히로 쿠제 (Yasuhiro Cuze)의 우아한 도자기까지, 전 세계 예술가들의 다양한 고품격 작품들을 제공합니다. E.N. 갤러리는 계속 발전하여 한국과 국제 예술의 명소가 되는 것이 저희의 목표이며 2022년 6월에 카페와 인접한 곳에 새로운 건물의 건축을 시작하여 2023년 9월, E.N. 갤러리는 이 새로운 전시 공간을 개장하였습니다. 이 장소는 신흥 예술가와 중견 예술가들의 회화 및 조각 등 다양한 매체를 전시하는 중심지가 될 것입니다. 저희는 이 새로운 공간을 활용하여 정기적인 전시를 개최하고 최고의 현대 예술을 대한민국 커뮤니티에 선보이는 것을 열망하고 있습니다.

 

EN 갤러리에서는 작품을 통해 긍정적인 감성적 영향을 불러일으키는 현대 예술가들을 선보입니다.  저희는 예술이 기쁨과 위안을 가져다 줄 수 있다고 믿으며, 전시를 통해 방문객들에게 새로운 경험을 제공하기를 목표로 합니다. 갤러리의 이름인 EN은 예술의 다양한 요소를 탐구하고 그것이 어떻게 결합되어 강력한 서사를 만들어내는지에 대한 저희의 약속/헌신을 표현합니다. "E"는 요소(Elements)를 나타내며, 작품들이 색상, 구성, 빛, 질감 및 매체를 독특하고 강력한 방식으로 활용하는 작품들을 선보이도록 초점을 맞춥니다. "N"은 서사(Narratives)를 나타내며, 모든 예술작품이 이야기를 담고 있다고 믿으며, 예술가들이 작품을 통해 자신을 표현할 수 있는 플랫폼을 제공하기 위해 노력하는 것을 보여주고 싶습니다. 요소와 서사의 조합이 새로운 시각을 열어줄 수 있다고 믿으며, 방문객들이 새로운 이야기를 발견하고 예술의 요소에 영감을 받을 수 있는 환경을 조성하기 위해 노력하고 있습니다.

EN Gallery opened its doors as a cafe and art shop in May 2017, quickly becoming a popular destination among art lovers and coffee enthusiasts. Our store combines the art of handcrafted decorative pieces with the luxury of hand-drip coffee. It offers a platform for artists to present their unique creations, and a peaceful space where customers can unwind and take home a piece of art that they will enjoy every day. From the hand-blown glassware created by London-based artist Jochen Holz, to the elegant pottery of Berlin-based Yasuhiro Cuze, we offer a diverse selection of high-quality pieces that showcase the talent of artists from around the world. As E.N. Gallery continues to evolve, we are thrilled to unveil our new identity as a premier destination for Korean and international contemporary art in the Seoul area. In June 2022, we began the construction of a new building, located just a few steps away from the café. In September 2023, we finally opened this new exhibition space to the public, becoming a hub for showcasing a diverse array of mediums, including paintings and sculptures, from both emerging and well-established artists. We are eager to utilize this new venue to host frequent exhibitions and bring the best in contemporary art to the Korean community.

We believe that art has the ability to bring joy and comfort, and we aim to provide an uplifting experience to our visitors through our exhibitions. The name of our gallery, E.N., represents our commitment to exploring the different elements of art and how they come together to create a powerful narrative. The "E" stands for Elements, as we focus on showcasing works that utilize color, composition, light, texture and mediums in unique and impactful ways. The "N" stands for Narratives, as we believe that every art piece has a story to tell and we strive to provide a platform for artists to express themselves through their work. We believe that the combination of elements and narratives can open our minds to new perspectives, and we are dedicated to fostering an environment where visitors can discover new stories and be inspired by the elements of art.
